It is a cost-effective solution that maximizes existing cable infrastructure, reducing the need to pull an additional cable to a nearby device.

How It Works: Combiner and Splitter Set

This product is sold as a pair (a “Combiner” unit and a “Splitter” unit) and operates by utilizing the four spare wires in a standard Cat5e/Cat6 Ethernet cable that are unused by 10/100 Mbps data transmission.

• Combiner (at the Switch/NVR end):
  • It plugs into two separate PoE ports on your switch or NVR (Network Video Recorder).
  • It combines the two separate data and power signals from these two ports onto a single 8-core cable run.
  • It sends the data for the first device using the standard data pairs (e.g., Pins 1, 2, 3, 6) and the data for the second device using the spare pairs (e.g., Pins 4, 5, 7, 8).
• Splitter (at the Device end):
  • It connects to the single cable run coming from the Combiner.
  • It splits the signals back out into two separate RJ45 outputs, each providing Power and Data to its respective end device (e.g., IP camera).
