• Extend Mode (Long Range): This switch often includes a toggle switch on the front panel. When enabled, it allows you to run Cat5e/6 cables up to 250 meters (instead of the standard 100m), which is ideal for remote outdoor cameras, though it reduces the speed of those ports to 10Mbps.

• Plug-and-Play: Being an unmanaged switch, it requires no software configuration. It automatically detects if a connected device requires PoE power, preventing damage to non-PoE equipment.
